Businessman focused on alignment
Elden LeGaux is a seasoned businessman who operates under a set of philosophies, the central tenet of which he calls “the religion of alignment.” The idea behind this is that, if you can truly align the interests of good people and their teams or organizations, you can really see everything come together and make magic happen.
Elden LeGaux has spent the past 34 years building himself into a seasoned and knowledgeable businessman with a specialty in developing and executing strategic solutions for companies. He is the founder and Chief Operating Officer of PEJAK, LLC, where he provides management consulting, strategic planning, and business oversight services for a group of companies.
Over a lifelong career in the financial services industry, Elden has developed a set of guiding philosophies that shape his business and personal relationships. Central to these philosophies is a belief structure he calls the “religion of alignment”. The fundamental premise is that any time you can truly align the interests of good people, teams, or organizations, magic happens. Creating and maintaining alignment is the secret sauce of great leaders and high functioning organizations.
Building exceptional client relationships rely on creating this same principle of alignment. In the financial services industry, unfortunately, there are many providers and advisors who seek to put their own interests above those of the clients they are paid to serve. This conflict is at the source of most of the difficult and contentious relationships that exist in the industry today. Elden LeGaux’s core belief is that people who provide consulting, informational, and advisory services should operate on a fiduciary standard where clients know that their providers are operating in their sole best interest. Achieving that alignment of interests between company and client, where the client knows that when the company does well, the client does well and vice versa, no time is spent wasted on worrying about whether there’s conflict or competition; an environment of trust and respect evolves over time creating long term mutually beneficial relationships.
Quite simply, Elden LeGaux has always believed that the best and only place to be is on the same side of the table as the people with whom he develops relationships. Living a business life in harmony with the “religion of alignment” has allowed him to develop successful business relationships worldwide. He founded PEJAK, LLC with these core principles in mind.
Elden graduated from Mary Washington College with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Mathematics in 1983. Later, he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business with a graduate degree in business. Additionally, he holds Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Professional designations.
Outside of his profession, Elden LeGaux is highly engaged in community service and has been throughout his entire career. In the past, he served as President of the Nat Greene Kiwanis Club, an organization based out of Greensboro that focuses on improving the lives of children. Currently, he’s serving on the Board of Directors of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation located in Broward County, Florida.
